The 14th China International Digital Publishing Expo kicked off on Saturday in Haikou, south China’s Hainan Province, attracting around 500 companies both online and offline.
The expo features exhibitions, forums and other on-site activities, with a focus on innovation in digital content creation, technologies, business channels and modes.
A series of digital products and technologies are on display at the expo, including e-books, audiobooks, databases, online games and metaverse, virtual reality (VR) and augment reality (AR).
Products showcasing local characteristics are also featured. For instance, the exhibition group from north China’s Shanxi Province, home to many of the stunning locations in the popular Chinese-made video game “Black Myth: Wukong,” will highlight a selection of publications that introduce Shanxi’s ancient architecture and cultural heritage along Wukong’s journey in the game.
Attendees from both home and abroad will hold discussions on international cooperation in digital publishing to bolster the high-quality development of the industry.
The event will run through Monday.
