As the traditional Chinese New Year approaches, China Media Group’s Global International Video News Agency has partnered with five major global news alliances to promote the annual Spring Festival Gala.
Content about the gala will be released through the platforms of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, the Arab States Broadcasting Union, the African Union of Broadcasting, the European News Exchange and the Latin American Union of News Agencies, reaching over 300 media organizations across 169 countries and regions.

As the first CMG Spring Festival Gala since the festival’s inscription into the UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list, this year’s event promises to be a grand cultural feast, bringing together global audiences to celebrate the joyful and auspicious Year of the Snake.
The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union has already given special focus to the gala on its content exchange platform, sharing it with viewers across the region.
The African Union of Broadcasting and the Latin American Union of News Agencies have also launched dedicated sections on their platforms, showcasing behind-the-scenes footage and gala rehearsals. These initiatives offer local viewers a unique window into Chinese New Year traditions.
The African Union of Broadcasting also plans to highlight the gala through its social media channels, giving African viewers an immersive experience of the festive atmosphere.
The Arab States Broadcasting Union and the European News Exchange will focus on broadcasting highlights of the gala on Chinese New Year’s Eve, ensuring their viewers can enjoy the most spectacular moments of the event.
Leaders of the five global news alliances have also extended their New Year wishes to CMG, expressing their hopes for deeper collaboration and continued progress with CMG in the future.
